Watercolor Landscapes: April Showers Meetup
Saturday 25 April
Zandale - 10am - 2 Hours
Sara Lachance
Celebrate the beauty of spring rain in this two-hour watercolor landscape class focused on painting April showers, soft skies, and shimmering raindrops. In this relaxed, skill-building session, students will learn how to capture the mood and movement of rain using watercolor.
We'll explore techniques for suggesting rainfall, misty distance, and reflective surfaces through layering, value, and controlled wet-into-wet washes. You'll also practice creating expressive skies, subtle textures, and loose landscape shapes that evoke atmosphere rather than detail.
This class is perfect for beginner to intermediate painters who want to loosen up, build confidence, and experiment with watercolor's unpredictable magic. By the end of class, you'll complete a rainy landscape painting and leave with practical techniques you can apply to future landscapes—rain or shine.
